Vivo V40 Pro Listed on Bureau of Indian Standards Before Launch

The launch of the Vivo V40 series in India seems to be just around the corner. Last month, the basic V40 model was seen on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, and now the Vivo V40 Pro has also appeared on the certification site. This follows rumors suggesting both the V40 and V40 Pro could debut in India in August, with the V40 already being available in Europe.

Certification and Model Number

Recent information from 91mobiles has pointed out the Vivo V40 Pro on the BIS website, listed with the model number V2347. Although specifics are limited, the BIS certification is a strong indicator of an impending Indian release.

Possible Rebrand with Premium Features

There is speculation that the Vivo V40 Pro may be a rebranded version of the Vivo S19 Pro, which was launched in China back in May. If this turns out to be true, the V40 Pro might come equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, and a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging. It is also expected to have IP68 water resistance.

Camera and Optics

The V40 Pro’s camera configuration is anticipated to include a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto lens. The front camera is also expected to feature a 50MP sensor. Both the V40 and V40 Pro models are rumored to utilize ZEISS optics for enhanced photography.
