Vivo is preparing to introduce its new S series smartphones, the S19 and S19 Pro, on May 30. Although official information remains confidential, a recent leak by insider Digital Chat Station (DCS) has revealed key specifications of both models before the launch.
Vivo S19
The standard S19 will include a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, complemented by a substantial 6000mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.
The camera system of the S19 features a straightforward setup, with a 50MP GNJ 1/1.56-inch main sensor equipped with OIS for enhanced low-light performance. This is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a "soft light ring," which serves as a dedicated flash for improved close-up photography.
Other notable features of the S19 include infrared sensors, NFC for contactless payments, and IP64 dust and water resistance.
Vivo S19 Pro
The S19 Pro will share the same display size and resolution as the standard S19, but it will come with a curved panel. This model will focus on performance, featuring the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor.
The S19 Pro will have a slightly smaller 5500mAh battery while maintaining the 80W fast charging support. Its camera system will include a 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP IMX816 sensor with OIS for telephoto capabilities.
The telephoto lens will support 50x digital zoom, and the S19 Pro will also feature a soft light ring on the back.
Durability and Ratings
For enhanced durability, the S19 Pro will have superior IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it resistant to water submersion, high-pressure, and high-temperature water jets.
