iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro: Leaked Details of the Upcoming Sub-Flagship Phones

Earlier this month, iQOO unveiled its flagship phones, the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro, in China. Now, reports suggest that the brand is gearing up to launch the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro sub-flagship phones in December. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has leaked some new details about the Neo 9 lineup. Let's take a closer look.

Key Specifications of the Neo 9 Series (Rumored)

According to Digital Chat Station (DCS), the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro will feature a 1.5K resolution display. A previous leak by the same tipster revealed that both phones will sport a 6.78-inch OLED punch-hole display with a flat design. A leaked image released last week showcased the front and rear design of the Neo 9 series.

Camera and Software

DCS claims that the iQOO Neo 9 series will boast a 50-megapixel Sony IMX9820 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. However, there is no information available about the auxiliary cameras on these smartphones. Similar to the iQOO 12 series, the Neo 9 models are expected to run on OriginOS 4-based Android 14. Additionally, the Neo 9 series is rumored to house a 5,000mAh battery and support 120W fast charging.

Upgraded Chipsets

The Neo 9 series will serve as successors to the Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro, which were equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Dimensity 9200 chipsets, respectively. The latest leaks suggest that the Neo 9 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, while the Neo 9 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 9300 SoC.

iQOO Pad 2: A New Tablet

In addition to the Neo 9 series, iQOO is also rumored to launch a new tablet featuring the Dimensity 9300 chipset. This tablet is expected to be called the iQOO Pad 2, serving as a successor to the previously announced iQOO Pad powered by the Dimensity 9000+. However, it is unclear whether iQOO will announce the iQOO Pad 2 alongside the Neo 9 series or if it will be unveiled next year.

These leaked details provide a glimpse into what we can expect from the upcoming iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro sub-flagship phones. As the launch date approaches, more information is likely to surface, giving us a clearer picture of these devices. Stay tuned for further updates!
