  • Oppo Venom Gaming Tech Set to Transform Smartphone Gaming Soon

Oppo Venom Gaming Tech Set to Transform Smartphone Gaming Soon

In the fast-changing landscape of smartphone gaming, hardware improvements are just one piece of the puzzle. Software advancements are becoming crucial for smooth gameplay experiences. A recent leak suggests that Oppo may soon take the lead with its newly introduced “Venom” gaming technology.

    What is “Venom” Gaming Tech?

According to the well-known industry figure Ice Universe, “Venom” is an innovative technology that operates at the core level of chip architecture. This advancement enables Oppo to enhance both energy efficiency and gaming performance by directly connecting with the chip’s main design. Ice Universe pointed out that “Venom is slaying with its ability to deepen the bottom layer to enhance energy efficiency,” emphasizing its potential for change.

    Comparisons and Improvements

In addition, another prominent leaker, Digital Chat Station, likened this new tech to Oppo’s past developments, such as the 120 FPS GPU frame interpolation solution. Although that earlier tech was remarkable, it was only an introduction to the more extensive capabilities that Venom offers. This gaming technology provides frame-by-frame optimization, which helps reduce delays and power usage, leading to smoother gameplay and cooler devices. A particularly striking claim suggests that Venom could upgrade a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset to perform like a hypothetical “Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.5.” This highlights how software innovations can significantly affect raw processing power.

Future Devices with Enhanced Gaming Experience

Venom is expected to first appear in the upcoming OnePlus Ace smartphones, which belong to Oppo’s sub-brand. Gamers can look forward to major enhancements in thermal management, battery life, and overall efficiency. • New OnePlus Pad Pro Features Taller 13-Inch 3K+ Display

New OnePlus Pad Pro Features Taller 13-Inch 3K+ Display

The OnePlus Pad Pro (Review) was originally introduced in China this year, and it appears that a new variant of this premium tablet could be coming soon. Recent leaks suggest a new version of the OnePlus Pad Pro, featuring a taller display along with several modifications. Let’s dive into the details.

New Size Variant on the Horizon?

Recent information comes from a Weibo post by ‘WHYLAB’, who indicates that the OnePlus Pad Pro will have a new size variant. This new model is not meant to replace the original, but is instead a larger option. To recap, the OnePlus Pad Pro was initially launched with a 12.1-inch screen, boasting a 144Hz refresh rate, a 3K resolution (3200 x 2120 pixels), and a 7:5 aspect ratio. It seems that a new version will soon be released, featuring a taller 13-inch LCD display, with an impressive 3840×2400 resolution (3K+), a 144Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits.

    Changes in Brightness and Competition

While the size and resolution are indeed improving, it appears that the overall brightness may be taking a hit, going down from 900 nits in the original OnePlus Pad Pro to 600 nits in this new 13-inch model. If this information is accurate, it suggests that OnePlus is aiming to create taller tablets that could compete with similar devices from Apple and Samsung, such as the iPad Air, iPad Pro (13-inch), and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (14.6-inch). Unfortunately, WHYLAB did not provide any additional details about this tablet.

    Internal Specs Likely Unchanged

The Weibo post does not mention essential details like specifications and features. This leads us to believe that the internal hardware may remain consistent across both models. In essence, this appears to be more of a minor update or a new size variant. From the original OnePlus Pad Pro launch, we learned that this tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It has a substantial 9,510mAh battery that supports 67W wired fast charging. Additionally, it features a 13-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. This is the extent of the information available right now, so stay tuned for future news.
