Honor 300 Series Launching First Week of December 2023

Honor has been hinting at its new 300 series smartphones for some time, and the official launch date for China has finally been confirmed: December 2nd.

    Rival Launches Ahead

This announcement comes right after a series of competitor releases. For example, Oppo is set to introduce the Reno 13 series on November 25 (today), Redmi has a presentation for its K80 line on November 27, and Vivo will showcase the S20 series on November 28 in China.

    Model Breakdown

Honor’s new range consists of three models — the standard 300, 300 Pro, and 300 Ultra. While all three devices have a similar design for the back, the 300 Pro and Ultra models share more features with each other compared to the vanilla variant.

The Ultra model sports a curved display with a pill-shaped cutout for dual selfie cameras, while the standard 300 has a flat screen with a single hole-punch design. The Pro and Ultra models boast a triple camera system on the back, while the regular model is expected to have a dual-camera setup, likely featuring a 50MP main sensor.

    Performance Specs

Regarding performance, there are whispers about the Honor 300 utilizing a Snapdragon 7 series chip, and it will be equipped with a 5300mAh battery that supports 100W charging. Despite having a large battery, the phone is impressively slim at just 6.97mm thick. It will be available in four configurations: 8/256GB, 12/256GB, 12/512GB, and 16/512GB.

The Pro and Ultra models may not be as slender as the standard 300, but they are anticipated to include wireless charging as an extra feature. The wired charging remains consistent at 100W, along with the same 5300mAh battery. Both models are also likely to be powered by the high-performance Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

    Color Options

In terms of color options, the standard model will be offered in Luyan Purple, Chaka Green, Yulong Snow, and Cangshan Gray. On the other hand, the Pro and Ultra variants are expected to be available in at least White and Black.

Honor 300 Specs and Leaked Images: Only 6.97mm Thin!

The Honor 300 series is generating excitement, and a recent leak has shed light on the Honor 300 standard version. This phone aims to be a compact and budget-friendly option, emphasizing key features without a hefty price tag. Below, you can see the leaked promotional images.

    Rumored Specifications of Honor 300

The standard version of the Honor 300 is said to come with a dual rear camera setup featuring 50MP, aimed at users who love photography without spending too much. As per the tipster, this device will have a right-angled plastic middle frame and an optical fingerprint sensor for unlocking.

    Performance and Design

When it comes to performance, the Honor 300 will be powered by a Snapdragon 7 series processor. This chip provides a good balance between efficiency and performance for mid-range devices. A notable feature is its ability to support 100W fast charging.

The design of this phone is ultra-slim, measuring only 6.97mm thick, which is much thinner than the already sleek 7.7mm of the Honor 200. This makes it one of the most stylish smartphones released in recent years. The phone will come in four configurations:

    • 8GB + 256GB
    • 12GB + 256GB
    • 12GB + 512GB
    • 16GB + 512GB

    Design Features and Color Options

Honor has confirmed that the Honor 300 series will feature a flat-screen design, which is a departure from the common trend of curved displays seen in Pro models. Additionally, the standard version will be available in four stylish colors: Luyan Purple, Chaka Green, Yulong Snow, and Cangshan Gray. It also showcases a unique “wilderness porthole” design that adds a special flair to its look.

    Anticipating the Honor 300 Series

While the standard model lays a good groundwork, the Honor 300 Pro and Pro Plus versions are expected to offer more high-end features. Reports indicate that these versions will include the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chip, which is more powerful than the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 found in the Honor 200 Pro. They will also have 1.5K displays and ultrasonic fingerprint sensors for improved user experience.

The Honor 300 series has received China’s 3C certification, which confirms that all models will support 100W fast charging. Although it’s anticipated that the Pro models will have wireless charging, it’s still unclear if the standard version will feature this capability.

With an official launch anticipated before the year ends, the Honor 300 series is set to offer a variety of options for those looking for value and performance. If the leaks hold true, Honor is ready to provide an enticing blend of affordability and innovation with the Honor 300 lineup.
