Vivo X200 and X200 Pro Launch Timeline for India Revealed

Vivo has recently unveiled its flagship X200 series smartphones in China, and it looks like they might be coming to global markets soon. According to a new report by SmartPrix, the Vivo X200 series could make its debut in India before the year wraps up.

    Release Timeline

The company is aiming for a launch during the second week of December. Although the specific date is yet to be confirmed, the report suggests a clear release timeframe. Initially, it seems Vivo plans to bring only the standard and Pro versions to India, leaving the fate of the smaller, budget-friendly X200 Pro mini unclear.

Vivo is said to be monitoring how well the standard and Pro models perform in the market before making a decision on whether to launch the mini version in India.

Specifications of the Vivo X200 / X200 Pro

The X200 and X200 Pro feature a spacious 6.78-inch micro-curved 8T LTPO OLED display, which offers a 120Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. Both devices run on the Dimensity 9400 chipset, with the X200 providing up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The X200 Pro, however, impresses with an incredible 16GB of RAM and a whopping 1TB of storage.

There are slight differences in their camera systems. The X200 comes equipped with a triple-camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens featuring 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. In contrast, the X200 Pro enhances the main camera to a 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor with a broader f/1.57 aperture and includes a top-notch 200MP ISOCELL HP9 periscope telephoto lens, which offers 3.7x optical zoom. Both devices share a 32MP front camera and are capable of recording video in 8K at 30fps.

    Battery and Connectivity Features

Both models support 90W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. In terms of connectivity, they feature Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. The X200 is fitted with a USB 2.0 port, whereas the X200 Pro comes with a quicker USB 3.2 port for data transfer. Additionally, the X200 Pro includes an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, while the standard X200 has an optical sensor instead.

  • Vivo V50 Series Launch: What to Expect from the Upcoming Release

Vivo V50 Series Launch: What to Expect from the Upcoming Release

Vivo is currently developing its upcoming range: the Vivo V50 series. The Chinese phone maker has begun testing two models, the Vivo V50 and Vivo V50e. This news surfaced shortly after the launch of the Vivo V40e on September 25. Smartprix, by examining the IMEI database, has identified two distinct Vivo V50 models. It’s possible that there are additional models in testing, but for now, only these two have been confirmed by the site.

Anticipations for the Vivo V50 Series

The Vivo V40 shared many similarities with its predecessor, the Vivo V30. Now that the Vivo V50 is in the testing phase, what can we expect from this upcoming lineup? The Vivo V50 is likely to feature elements akin to the Vivo V40, although the complete specifications have yet to be officially announced.

Currently, Smartprix has verified that network testing is underway to ensure the devices function correctly. This indicates that Vivo is diligently working on these smartphones to provide users with the finest experience possible.

    Model Numbers and Expectations

According to the IMEI database, the Vivo V50 carries the model number V2427, while the Vivo V50e is listed as V2428. Reflecting on the Vivo V40e, it saw significant enhancements in its processor and rapid charging capabilities compared to the Vivo V30e.

We still lack precise information regarding the Vivo V50e, but it’s anticipated to feature improved camera sensors, quicker charging options, and a more robust processor than the V40e.

    Speculated Launch Timeline

At this moment, there’s no confirmed release date for the Vivo V50 series. However, by analyzing previous launches, we can make some educated guesses. The Vivo V30 was unveiled in February 2024, followed by the Vivo V40 in June 2024. Therefore, the Vivo V50 might debut around February 2025, likely within the first quarter.

Regarding the Vivo V50e, earlier models like the Vivo V30e were launched in May 2024, and the Vivo V40e was released in September 2024. This suggests a pattern of approximately four months between each "e" model. If this trend persists, we could see the Vivo V50e hitting the market around January 2025.

Nonetheless, it’s important to note that this is merely conjecture based on previous release trends, and actual dates could vary depending on Vivo’s strategies. We’ll provide updates as more details come to light.
