Critics argue that even having temporary exclusivity for PlayStation makes the hardware more desirable.

    Games from the PS4 or titles exclusive to PSVR2 were not included in the count. Despite this, the short list is as follows:

    Xbox’s Cross-Platform Focus

    With Microsoft now focusing on cross-platform games, the Xbox Series X|S consoles are in a worse position. The main advantage these systems have left is day-one releases like Forza Horizon 6. This open-world racing game will be available on PCs in May and will come to PlayStation later in 2026.

Steam users might not see single-player titles like Ghost of Yōtei or the anticipated Marvel’s Wolverine on the platform anymore. One theory suggests that sales from Valve’s store haven’t been as strong as expected.

    Even if sales aren’t at their expected levels, many users on Reddit question why PlayStation would turn down extra revenue. While gamers want access to titles on any platform, critics of Microsoft claim that the company has lowered the value of its consoles.
