  • Tesla Model 3 Canada: $5,000 Discount or Free Supercharging

Tesla Model 3 Canada: $5,000 Discount or Free Supercharging

    Key Takeaways

    1. Tesla is offering a special promotion for new buyers of the Model 3 with options for either a $5,000 discount or unlimited free Supercharging for life.
    2. The promotion is valid for deliveries made by September 30, 2025, and is one of the largest incentives in Canada recently.
    3. Buyers must choose from Tesla Canada’s existing inventory; custom factory orders do not qualify for the promotion.
    4. The $5,000 discount will be automatically applied at checkout, while those opting for free Supercharging must contact Tesla to make the switch after ordering.
    5. The choice between the discount and free Supercharging depends on individual driving habits, with home chargers favoring the discount and frequent long-distance drivers benefiting from the Supercharging option.

Canadians thinking about getting the Tesla Model 3 now have an exciting new reason to go for it. The electric vehicle (EV) company has rolled out a special offer for customers who take delivery of their car by September 30, 2025.

    Promotion Details

New buyers can select either a $5,000 off the purchase price or enjoy unlimited free Supercharging for life. This marks one of the largest incentives Tesla has offered in Canada in recent times.

    Flexible Options

This new offer follows Tesla’s previous announcement that customers who take delivery by September 30 could also get lifetime free Supercharging. Now, those buying the Model 3 have the choice between the free charging option and the $5,000 discount.

    Important Conditions

There is a key condition: this promotion is valid only for new cars that are already in Tesla Canada’s inventory and does not apply to custom factory orders. Buyers need to choose from the available Model 3s and make sure they get their car by the September 30 cutoff. This limitation is partly because of import taxes that could impact custom orders.

For qualified purchases, Tesla will automatically subtract the $5,000 discount at the time of checkout. However, those who want the lifetime free Supercharging will have to reach out to Tesla to change their choice after placing the order.

Drivers who frequently charge their Tesla Model 3 at home might like the immediate financial benefit of the $5,000 discount, but those who often take long trips or commutes might find the free, unlimited lifetime Supercharging to be more advantageous.

  • Model 3: Free Supercharging & 0% APR Financing with FSD

Model 3: Free Supercharging & 0% APR Financing with FSD

    Key Takeaways

    1. Tesla has reintroduced 0% APR financing for the Model 3, with leases starting at $299/month and a 5% down payment required.
    2. The $7,500 federal tax credit for electric vehicles is set to expire on September 30, prompting Tesla to boost demand with new promotions.
    3. Buyers can only access the 0% APR financing if they purchase or transfer the Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature; otherwise, the rate is 2.49%.
    4. Customers who buy a Model 3 from July 17 onward will receive 18 months of free Supercharging, offering potential savings.
    5. Inventory Model 3s now include one complimentary upgrade option, such as free color or larger wheels, along with the same 18-month free Supercharging offer.

Tesla has unveiled several new offers for the Model 3 that are intended to last for a short period, although there is no specific end date mentioned in the details.

    Financing and Leasing Options

The 0% APR financing option for the Model 3 sedan from last quarter has returned, with leases starting at $299 per month. This zero-interest financing is available for terms of up to 60 months and requires only a 5% down payment. Buyers can also apply their federal tax credit of $7,500, if they qualify.

This tax credit is set to expire on September 30, so Tesla is clearly pushing hard with promotions to boost demand before the government eliminates all electric vehicle subsidies.

    New Incentives for Buyers

As Tesla expands its Robotaxi ride-share platform for current owners, it has also found a way to attract Model 3 buyers to opt for the Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature. The 0% APR financing rate is only available if they purchase FSD or transfer it from a previous vehicle. If not, the interest rate remains a low 2.49%, similar to the current promotion for the Model Y.

Since many Tesla enthusiasts are now leaning towards the new 2026 Model Y instead of the Model 3, the company is adding another appealing benefit to the financing offer. Buyers who purchase a Model 3 from July 17 onward can enjoy free Supercharging for the first 18 months, which could result in significant savings based on how much they drive.

    Additional Offers and Discounts

These terms are even more favorable compared to the similar offer Tesla launched in Canada a few weeks ago, which only provided Canadian customers with one year of free Supercharging.

Additionally, Tesla is now extending the same complimentary upgrade option on inventory Model 3s that it has for the Model Y. Model 3 units listed in their inventory now come with one upgrade at no charge, whether it’s a free color or larger wheels.

For example, a fully equipped Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive with a premium black and white interior and the larger 19″ Nova Wheels is priced at $44,990, which is $2,000 less than its usual price, matching the aggressive pricing of the Ultra Red color.

However, unlike the Model Y inventory, we didn’t find any interior upgrades available for the current Model 3 options, just free colors and wheels. The 18-month free Supercharging offer also applies to these inventory Model 3 vehicles.

  • Tesla Canada Offers Free Supercharging with Model 3 Purchase

Tesla Canada Offers Free Supercharging with Model 3 Purchase

    Key Takeaways

    1. Tesla is offering one year of free Supercharging with the purchase of a new Model 3 to boost declining sales in Canada.
    2. The Model 3 and Model Y are Tesla’s bestsellers, but sales have been negatively impacted by higher prices due to tariffs and changing perceptions of Elon Musk.
    3. The promotion includes a 3-month FSD trial for Model 3 purchases delivered by June 30, 2025.
    4. Free Supercharging is only available for new Model 3 vehicles and cannot be transferred or applied to used cars or commercial vehicles.
    5. The starting price of CA$82,600 for a Model 3 after tariffs may limit the effectiveness of the promotion in attracting buyers.

Tesla has recently introduced free Supercharging for a vehicle that hasn’t seen this offer much before, even though the deal was just found in its app code.

Marketing Tactics in Response to Sales Decline

With a significant decrease in sales in Canada, Tesla’s marketing team has decided to provide free Supercharging for a year with the purchase of each Model 3. This move hints at the potential reasons behind the weak sales figures that will be revealed in their Q2 report.

    Bestsellers Under Pressure

The Model 3 and Model Y are the top-selling cars for Tesla and generate most of its income. The Model Y received an update launched in Q2, but the higher prices of Tesla cars in Canada because of tariffs, along with the changing public perception of Elon Musk’s political views, may have negatively impacted the Model 3.

    New Offers for Customers

This situation might explain why Tesla is now offering a 3-month FSD trial alongside a year of free Supercharging for any Model 3 purchased and delivered by the end of the quarter, specifically June 30.

To be eligible for one year of free Supercharging, customers must order a new Model 3 and have it delivered by June 30, 2025. Tesla does not ensure availability or delivery by that date and will not make exceptions. The promotion is linked to your Tesla Account and cannot be transferred to another vehicle, person, or order, even if ownership changes. Used cars, business orders, and vehicles used for commercial purposes (like taxis, rideshares, and delivery services) are not included in this deal.

    Restrictions on the Promotion

The free Supercharging offer for the Model 3 is only available for new vehicles, including those in its inventory that are still at pre-tariff prices.

Sadly, the starting price of CA$82,600 for a Model 3, which applies to deliveries after tariffs, isn’t very attractive for sales, so it remains uncertain how many Tesla enthusiasts in Canada will be swayed by the free charging promotion.
