Motorola Appoints T.M Narasimhan as Managing Director of Mobile Business Group in India

Motorola Mobility India has announced the appointment of Mr. T.M Narasimhan as the Managing Director of the Mobile Business Group in India. This strategic move is aimed at strengthening Motorola's position in the smartphone market and achieving its objective of becoming one of the top three smartphone brands in the country.

Mr. T.M Narasimhan brings a wealth of experience in sales operations, business and financial planning, and P&L management from his previous roles at renowned FMCG and consumer tech organizations such as PepsiCo, Britannia, and Samsung. With his expertise, he will now lead Motorola's operations in India, reporting to Mr. Prashanth Mani, who continues to oversee Motorola's Asia Pacific business.

Underlining the significance of the Indian market within the Asia Pacific region, Mr. Prashanth Mani expressed his confidence in Mr. T.M Narasimhan's ability to play a crucial role in driving even greater success for the team in India. This appointment reflects Motorola's commitment to further expand and strengthen its presence in the country.

In addition to its premium offerings, Motorola is also gearing up for the launch of its affordable Moto G34 5G in India. According to reports, the smartphone could be unveiled as early as January 9 in the country. This move is expected to further solidify Motorola's position in the Indian market and cater to the growing demand for affordable 5G smartphones.
