Samsung is being quite secretive about its foldable devices, at least for now. The company has openly stated that several models are under development. Recent rumors indicate that Samsung is working on four foldables, which includes its first tri-fold model.
Ultra Experience on the Horizon
Earlier this week, Samsung hinted that one of these upcoming foldables would provide an ‘Ultra experience’. In a press release, the company suggested it would be introducing its Ultra branding to the Galaxy Z Fold series, similar to what it does with the Galaxy S smartphones. However, leaker Arsène Lupin has uncovered information that seems to indicate this might not actually happen.
Browser Clue to Foldables
Lupin discovered that a Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7-specific version of the Samsung Internet Browser has been listed in the Galaxy Store. As of the time of writing, this app remains available but cannot be installed on the current models of Galaxy foldables. The screenshots from the listing show that Samsung hasn’t made any significant updates to the browser compared to what is available on its other devices.
What This Means for the Fold7
That being said, the Samsung Internet Browser for the Fold7 and Flip7 is marked with a unique version number, v28.0.2.43. This effectively puts a stop to the speculation about a Galaxy Z Fold Ultra being released this year, even though initial teasers suggested otherwise. However, a recent leak hints that the Galaxy Z Fold7 might be the first to match the Galaxy S25 Ultra (currently priced at $929 on Amazon) by featuring 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
