Samsung’s Galaxy Ring has become a major talking point in recent weeks following its announcement last month. The brand disclosed additional crucial information about the smart device at the recently wrapped up MWC event. Despite this, more details are emerging about the Galaxy Ring, this time courtesy of CNET. In the newest update, details regarding the sizes, battery capacities, and compatibility of the smart ring are being revealed.
Samsung Galaxy Ring: Fresh Information Disclosed
CNET had a hands-on experience with the Galaxy Ring at MWC. The smallest version of the wearable device weighs 2.3 grams while the largest variant reaches up to 2.9 grams. This weight is notably lighter in comparison to the Oura ring, which weighs between four to six grams.
Battery Capacities and Compatibility
Samsung has stated that the smallest prototype ring comes with a 14.5mAh battery capacity. This capacity increases incrementally with the larger models, which are reported to be powered by a 21.5mAh cell. Earlier, the South Korean company confirmed that the Galaxy Ring is expected to provide a battery life of up to 9 days.
Enhanced Wearable Experience
Samsung's VP and Head of Digital Health team, Hon Park, mentioned that users can wear the Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch simultaneously for enhanced performance. It will, of course, be compatible with Galaxy phones. The executive also mentioned efforts to ensure compatibility with other Android phones, but unfortunately, it will not work with iOS devices.
