Samsung's forthcoming Exynos 1580 chip, which is expected to power the Galaxy A56 smartphone, has recently surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking site. Code-named Santa, the chip garnered a single-core score of 1046 points and a multi-core score of 3678 points on Geekbench 5.
Performance Comparison
These results suggest that the Exynos 1580 offers a performance level similar to that of the Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100. The chip shows a notable improvement, with a 17% and 9% increase over its predecessor, the Exynos 1480. However, it still lags behind the most recent flagship chipsets.
Expected Release Date
Following Samsung’s usual release schedule for the Galaxy A5x series, the Galaxy A56 is likely to be introduced in the spring of 2025. More detailed performance evaluations of the Exynos 1580 are expected to take place once the device becomes available.
