Xiaomi held an event today in China to unveil their Redmi smartphone and tablet products - the Redmi Turbo 3, following last year's Redmi Note 12 Turbo as part of the Turbo series, now takes on a different name with impressive specifications that build upon previous Redmi devices. The event saw Xiaomi showcase both devices at once.

Redmi Turbo 3 stays true to its predecessor by featuring a flat frame with gently rounded corners, two distinct camera rings and 7.8mm thickness and weight (179 grams). Redmi has certified their phone as SGS five-star drop protection certified by SGS certification body SGS.
Display and Camera Capabilities
Redmi Turbo 3 features an OLED display framed by slim bezels and boasting an expansive 6.67-inch OLED panel backed with ultrathin bezels topped off by ultrathin bezels for viewing an image's elements, along with an ultraslim fingerprint scanner and 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 2,400nits peak brightness rating and offers fingerprint scanning as standard features. Notably it also includes AI object eraser feature similar to Pixel's Magic Eraser for editing images to remove unwanted elements - perfect for editing images!

Packed with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor - a variant of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 - the Redmi Turbo 3 offers up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, along with Xiaomi's Ice Cooling system for effective heat dissipation during demanding usage scenarios. Starting at CNY 1,999 ($276) for its 12GB + 256GB base model, premium variants such as 12GB+512GB are priced from CNY 2,299 ($317) while 16GB + 1TB models start selling on April 15 for CNY 2,799 ($386) each and come in Ice Titanium, Green Blade and Black Crystal colors with sales beginning April 15.
