Redmi K70 Ultra to Feature Four In-House Chips

Redmi has been steadily unveiling details about the forthcoming Redmi K70 Ultra, though the launch date for the Chinese market remains unannounced. Today, a leak from tipster Digital Chat Station has provided additional insights into the phone's specifications.

According to this leak, the K70 Ultra is expected to house four in-house chips alongside the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor. These in-house chips include the Surge P2 for fast charging, the G1 for power management, the T1 for signal enhancement, and the D1 for independent display processing.

In-House Technology

Xiaomi has been incorporating its in-house chips in Redmi phones for a few years, but the K70 Ultra seems to be the most feature-packed model yet. While the latest leak covers these features, here's a summary of what has been officially revealed so far.

The K70 Ultra is set to feature a 1.5K C8+ straight screen from TCL Huaxing, offering a 144Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming. Additionally, it supports DC dimming for consistent brightness control at higher settings.

Design and Build

The Redmi K70 Ultra also boasts a high-strength metal frame and a four-curved equal-depth glass back cover. The rear camera system is led by a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). Expected color options include black, white, and purple.

Powering the device is a 5500mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging. For added durability, the phone has an IP68 dust and water resistance certification.

Expected Launch and Variants

The Redmi K70 Ultra is anticipated to debut alongside the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip later this month in China. It appears that the K70 Ultra may remain exclusive to the Chinese market. However, a modified version of the phone with enhanced cameras is expected to be released globally under the Xiaomi 14T Pro name.
