Nubia's Red Magic sub-brand has announced a launch event scheduled for 3 PM (local time) on September 5th in China. This event will introduce the new Red Magic tablets designed for gaming enthusiasts.
Anticipated Red Magic Gaming Tablets
The upcoming Red Magic tablets are set to debut on September 5th in China. The teaser hints at the unveiling of two tablets during this launch. According to tipster WHYLAB, the smaller tablet will feature a 10.8-inch screen and will be the first in the world to incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chipset.
Conversely, the larger Red Magic tablet is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and will sport a 12.4-inch display. This model is anticipated to support 5G connectivity and is considered a successor to the Red Magic Tablet released in July 2023. It is rumored to be named the Red Magic Tablet 3D Explorer Edition, though further specifications have yet to be disclosed.
Features of the Original Red Magic Tablet
For reference, the first Red Magic Tablet included a 12.1-inch LD panel with a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It was equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, offering up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It housed a 10,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging capability.
The original model featured a 16-megapixel front camera and a rear 13-megapixel camera with an LED flash. Additional features included quad speakers and Android 14 with the Red Magic UI.
