Realme is among the first smartphone brands to adopt Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with the upcoming GT 7 Pro. This smartphone is expected to debut in China this month. Following its launch in the mainland, Realme has announced that the GT 7 Pro will be available globally in November, making it the first device to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip on the worldwide stage.
Global Availability
The GT 7 Pro will be released in more than 10 markets at the same time, including key areas such as India, Europe (specifically Italy and Spain), and Southeast Asia (including Malaysia and Thailand).
Powerful Performance
At the heart of the GT 7 Pro is the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This newly unveiled chipset features an eight-core CPU setup, with two performance cores achieving exceptional clock speeds of up to 4.32 GHz. Built on a 3nm architecture, this chip is set to deliver notable gains in both performance and efficiency. A recent leak indicates that the chip may even exceed a score of 3,000,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark.
The GT 7 Pro is also rumored to sport a custom Samsung display boasting a 1.5K resolution and a fluid 120Hz refresh rate, enhancing the visual experience.
Innovative Features
The GT 7 Pro could also introduce Realme's first ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner. Moreover, the device is likely to achieve an IP68/69 rating, ensuring it is resistant to dust and water.
Design and Camera Upgrades
In terms of aesthetics, speculation hints at a transition from the round camera module seen in the GT 5 Pro to a more modern square design, as illustrated in the provided render. The camera setup is expected to include premium components, such as a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 primary sensor featuring optical image stabilization (OIS), along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens providing 3x optical zoom. A 16-megapixel sensor is likely to be available for selfies.
Battery and Charging
One of the standout features of the GT 7 Pro may be its high-capacity 6,500mAh silicon carbon battery, anticipated to support rapid 100W wired charging, making it a compelling option for users needing long-lasting power.
