In February, Realme is set to launch the Realme Neo 7 SE, which will feature the Dimensity 8400-Max chipset in China. However, it seems that this won’t be the only high-performance device coming to the Chinese market. A source from China has suggested that the more powerful Realme GT 7 could also be introduced next month.
Realme GT 7 Launch Expected
The Realme GT 7 is rumored to make its entrance in February. Back in November 2024, Realme introduced the Realme GT 7 Pro, which is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Recently, a new Realme phone identified by the model number RMX5090 was discovered in the TENAA certification database. This listing indicated that the RMX5090 does not include a periscope telephoto camera, unlike the GT 7 Pro, but keeps the same specifications. The missing camera has led to a slight redesign of the dual-camera module on the RMX5090, replacing the triple-camera configuration found on the GT 7 Pro.
Speculations About the Realme RMX5090
Although itβs still unclear what the final name for the Realme RMX5090 will be, many are referring to it as the Realme GT 7. According to the source known as Experience More, in addition to the Neo 7 SE, Realme is also expected to reveal the Realme GT 7 by the end of February in China. The GT 7 Pro is Realme’s first smartphone to feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, but it is uncertain whether the GT 7 will have the same technology. It is possible that the company might equip the GT 7 with a more budget-friendly optical in-screen fingerprint sensor.
Pricing Insights
When it comes to pricing, the Realme GT 7 is likely to take the place of the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro as the most affordable smartphone equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. For reference, the Ace 5 Pro was launched at a starting price of 3,399 Yuan (approximately $465) in China. The source also mentioned that the new Realme Neo 7 SE is essentially seen as the Neo 7 with the upgraded Dimensity 8400-Max chip. To recall, the Neo 7 was previously released with the Dimensity 9300+ chip in December 2024 in China. Thus, the Neo 7 SE will closely resemble the Neo 7, with the primary distinction being the less powerful chipset. The Neo 7 SE is expected to surpass the Redmi Turbo 4, becoming the most budget-friendly device with the Dimensity 8400 chip. The Redmi Turbo 4 launched at a starting price of 1,999 Yuan (around $275) earlier this month.
