Huawei to Launch Nova 12 Series of Smartphones in China
Huawei is all set to launch its highly anticipated Nova 12 series of smartphones in China on December 26. The series will include the Huawei Nova 12 Lite (Vitality Edition), Nova 12, Nova 12 Pro, and Nova 12 Ultra. The company has officially teased the upcoming smartphone, confirming that it will be available in three color options: Signature Blue, White, and Black. The teasers, posted on Weibo, also showcase the camera module with three camera sensors and an LED flash. The smartphone will feature a 50 MP RYYB primary sensor with a physical aperture ranging from f/1.0 to f/4.0. The "Nova" engraving on the leather rear side of the device is clearly visible.
Huawei Nova 12 Series Specifications (Expected)
According to previous reports, the Huawei Nova 12 is expected to come with a flat LCD protected by Huawei Kunlun glass. It may be powered by Huawei's own Kirin 830 or Kirin 9000s SOC. The device is rumored to have a 45,000 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. It is likely to be available in two storage options: 12+256GB and 12+512GB, priced at 2,999 Yuan and 3,499 Yuan, respectively. The Pro variant of the Nova 12 series will have the same battery capacity but will offer improved 100W charging. Additionally, it is expected to feature a 2nd Gen Kunlun Glass and a new OV50H primary sensor.
The Huawei Nova 12 Ultra is also expected to come with 2nd generation Kunlun glass protection and 100W charging. However, details about the battery capacity are currently unknown. A recent leak suggests that the device will be powered by the Kirin 9000 SoC, which is also found in the newly launched Huawei Mate 60 flagship series. The Nova 12 Ultra is rumored to have a 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant, priced at 4,999 yuan.
As for the Huawei Nova 12 Lite, it is expected to feature a Kirin 9000s SoC and the same 50MP primary rear sensor as the other devices in the series. However, further details about this particular model are currently unavailable.
Despite the differences between the models, the entire Nova 12 series will have plastic frames, a z-axis vibration motor, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 60MP front camera.
With the launch just around the corner, Huawei fans in China are eagerly awaiting the release of the Nova 12 series. The smartphones are expected to offer impressive specifications and features, making them a strong contender in the competitive smartphone market.
