Xiaomi is gearing up to refresh its Redmi G Pro Series laptops with upgraded hardware and new features. Interestingly, the new notebooks in the series may be equipped with the recently launched Snapdragon X Elite processor. According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the new Snapdragon processor is expected to debut on slim laptops, while the rest of the laptop series will continue to feature Intel processors with dedicated graphics card units.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite processor shows great promise based on recent leaks and the company's claims. The chip marks Qualcomm's bold entry into the laptop SoC market. It is expected to make a significant impact on the Windows laptop market, thanks to its unique Qualcomm CPU core, Oryon. In a benchmarking session, Qualcomm compared the Snapdragon X Elite to Intel, AMD, and Apple CPUs. According to sources, the Redmi G Pro 2024 series will come with some exciting advancements. It is rumored to feature an Intel i5-14500HX processor paired with 16GB of DDR5 RAM and the RTX 4060 GPU. Additionally, there will be a high-end model with an Intel i9-14900HX processor, the same 16GB DDR5 RAM, and the RTX 4050 GPU.
Recently, the Redmi G Pro 2024 series was spotted on Geekbench, featuring the Intel 05-14500HX processor and the RTX 4060 graphics card. It achieved an impressive score of 87385 on the benchmarks. The benchmark also revealed that the processor, the Intel i5-14500HX, consists of 6 big cores and 8 small cores with a turbo boost of up to 4.9 GHz. The model tested on Geekbench was equipped with 16GB of DDR5 RAM.
Moreover, a different variant of the Redmi G Pro 2024 series was also spotted on Geekbench last month, powered by the Intel i9-14900HX processor with 24 cores.
Redmi G Series 2024: A Design Overhaul
The upcoming Xiaomi Redmi G Series 2024 laptops will feature a complete design overhaul. While we await renders and live photos before the official launch, it will be interesting to see the detailed changes in design.
