Realme is preparing to release its latest flagship phone, the Realme GT 5 Pro, in China. In addition, the company is said to be working on the Realme 12 Pro series. However, according to a recent report from TechGoing, Realme may also introduce an affordable flagship phone called the Realme GT Neo 6 in early 2024.
Preliminary details of the Realme GT Neo 6
According to a Chinese leaker, the Realme GT Neo 6 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. This places it lower in the lineup compared to the Realme GT 5 Pro, which is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and expected to cost around 4,000 Yuan (~$550).
While the leaker did not provide further information about the specifications of the GT Neo 6, it is mentioned that the phone will feature a metallic frame. Additionally, the leak suggests that the GT Neo 6 will have a price tag of around 2,000 Yuan (~$275).
The Realme GT Neo 6 is expected to be a strong competitor for other affordable flagship phones that are set to launch in the near future. These include the OnePlus Ace 3, Redmi K70, iQOO Neo 9, and Honor 100 Pro. Speculations are circulating that the Ace 3 and K70 will be rebranded as the OnePlus 12R and Poco F6, respectively, for their global releases, possibly in the first quarter of 2024.
As for the GT Neo 6, it is anticipated to launch in China in the first quarter of 2024, following the unveiling of the GT Neo 5 in February of this year. Hopefully, more details about the Neo 6 will be revealed in the coming days.
