Poco X6 Pro 5G Spotted on FCC, featuring Plastic Frame and HyperOS, suggesting it as a Potential Redmi K70E Rebrand

Xiaomi’s New X Series: Poco X6 and Poco X6 Pro 5G

Xiaomi is set to launch its new X Series, namely the Poco X6 and Poco X6 Pro 5G, on a global scale. These new models will be the successors to the Poco X5 series, which was released earlier this year. Although Xiaomi has not made an official announcement yet, the smartphone has already appeared on various certifications such as Thailand’s NBTC, IMEI, and India’s BIS. Recently, the device also made its way to the FCC, revealing some details.

The Unveiling of Poco X6 and Poco X6 Pro 5G

The FCC listing confirms that the smartphone will run on HyperOS 1.0 and will offer three different storage variants. Interestingly, the build of the smartphone will also differ depending on the storage variant. Here are the details:

  • The 12GB RAM + 512GB variant will come with a plastic frame.
  • The 8GB RAM + 256GB variant will also feature a plastic frame.
  • The 12GB RAM + 512GB variant will use a PU frame.

Rebranded Versions and Frame Material

The inclusion of a plastic frame for mid-range smartphones like the Poco X6 Pro 5G may seem surprising. However, it is worth noting that the Poco X6 Pro is expected to be a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Redmi K70E, while the Poco X6 is believed to be the rebranded Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G. The presence of a plastic frame on the Poco X6 Pro 5G aligns with the Redmi K70E, which also features a plastic frame. Until there is an official confirmation, it is difficult to draw any definitive conclusions about the specifications.

Expected Specifications for Poco X6 and Poco X6 Pro

Recently, the Poco X6 5G appeared on Geekbench, revealing some information about its specifications. The smartphone is expected to be equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC and 12GB of RAM. It will run on Android 13.

According to expectations, the Poco X6 5G will feature a 6.67-inch, 12-bit, 120Hz Dolby Vision AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1800 nits. It is rumored to have a powerful 200MP main camera with an f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). Additionally, the smartphone is said to come with a 5,100mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.

On the other hand, the Poco X6 Pro 5G is expected to sport a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a peak brightness of up to 1800 nits and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will be powered by the Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC, accompanied by LPDDR5X RAM and up to UFS 4.0 storage.

Camera and Pricing Details

The smartphone is rumored to feature a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. Other specifications are expected to be in line with the Redmi K70E, which was recently launched in China. The Redmi K70E was priced starting at 1999 Yuan, which is approximately $282 or Rs 23,550.

With the release of the Poco X6 and Poco X6 Pro 5G on the horizon, Xiaomi fans are eagerly waiting for the official announcement to confirm these specifications and more.
