POCO has recently unveiled its M6 Plus 5G smartphone and Buds X1 TWS earphones in India. Now, the company is preparing to introduce its first tablet in the Indian market. Flipkart has launched a microsite for the POCO Pad. The Xiaomi sub-brand had previously confirmed the tablet's arrival during the POCO F6 launch event in May.
POCO Pad Coming Soon to India
While POCO has not yet disclosed the exact launch date for the POCO Pad in India, it has been confirmed that the tablet will be available exclusively on Flipkart. The brand is promoting the device as offering limitless entertainment. The tablet features thin bezels around its display, and more details about the official launch date are expected to be announced soon.
Specifications and Features
The POCO Pad was initially introduced to global markets in May. It remains to be seen whether the specifications of the Indian variant will differ. Additionally, the Redmi Pad Pro, which features the same specifications as the POCO Pad, was also launched in the country last week. It will be interesting to observe how POCO positions its first tablet in India.
The POCO Pad boasts a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 2.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. The display also supports Dolby Vision. The tablet is equipped with quad-speakers that feature Dolby Atmos. Its design includes a metal body with two rings on the back housing a single 8MP camera sensor. Inside, the POCO Pad runs on a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is powered by a 10,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The device comes with HyperOS-based Android 14 pre-installed and is compatible with a stylus pen and a keyboard.
