POCO has recently introduced its inaugural tablet to the global market, named the POCO Pad. This mid-tier tablet is designed for multimedia consumption and productivity, featuring a high-resolution display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Currently, POCO offers only a Wi-Fi version of the tablet, but indications suggest that a 5G model may soon be available in India.
A POCO Pad 5G model, identified by the number 24074PCD2I, has been listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards certification website. This model number closely mirrors that of the Redmi Pad Pro 5G, which launched recently in China with the model number 24074RPD2I. Apart from the addition of 5G connectivity, the other specifications are expected to remain similar to the Wi-Fi-only POCO Pad.
Expected Specifications of POCO Pad 5G
The POCO Pad 5G is anticipated to feature a 12.1-inch 120 Hz LCD screen with a 2.5K resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. It will also include DC dimming to minimize eye strain at lower brightness levels. For an enhanced video streaming experience, the tablet will be certified with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support.
Internally, the tablet will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, complemented by up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Similar to the Wi-Fi-only version, the 5G variant is expected to include a microSD card slot supporting up to 1.5TB of additional storage.
Camera and Battery Details
In terms of camera capabilities, the tablet is likely to sport an 8 MP sensor on both the front and rear sides. The device is expected to house a 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Additionally, it will probably run on Android 14-based HyperOS right out of the box.
