POCO has ventured into the tablet market in India with its first offering, the POCO Pad 5G. Having already launched globally, the Indian version mirrors the same specifications. POCO Pad 5G Specifications
The design of the POCO Pad 5G is identical to that of the Redmi Pad Pro. It features a flat frame with a metal unibody and dual camera rings on a dual-tone back panel. The front is dominated by a 12.1-inch display with minimal bezels. The screen boasts a 2.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits, offering an engaging multimedia experience.
The tablet supports a stylus and keyboard. In terms of audio, it includes quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support and two microphones. There is an 8MP rear camera and an equally capable 8MP front camera for selfies.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is fueled by a 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The software is Android 14-based HyperOS straight out of the box. It features Xiaomi Interconnectivity for seamless integration, allowing functions like viewing phone apps on the tablet and cross-device note syncing.
Connectivity options include 5G, WiFi-6, a USB-C port, Bluetooth, and GPS.
POCO Pad 5G Pricing and Availability
The POCO Pad 5G is priced at Rs 22,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and Rs 24,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. It is available in Pistachio Green and Cobalt Blue colors. The tablet will be available for purchase on Flipkart starting August 27. Buyers will receive a complimentary 1-year Times Prime membership and a 6-month subscription to MS Office 365. Additionally, SBI, HDFC, and ICICI Bank cardholders can avail a Rs 3,000 discount on the purchase.
