Prominent leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS) shared on Weibo that the POCO F7 is set to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset. This processor is said to be a slightly underclocked variant of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, providing performance that exceeds the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 but is just below that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Although the chipset is expected to be officially revealed in early 2025, the POCO F7 might be one of the first devices to incorporate it, likely launching in April 2025.
DCS also pointed out that smartphones with large 7,000mAh batteries will soon become a trend, and the POCO F7 could be at the forefront of this movement. Additional leaks suggest that the device will feature a 1.5K LTPS AMOLED display, coupled with the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset and a 7,000mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging.
