Pixel 9a Rumors: Price, Launch Date, and Features Revealed

Rumors about Google’s next phone, the Pixel 9a, are gaining attention, with leaks sharing important information on its price, launch date, and specifications. As reported by AndroidHeadlines, the starting price for the Pixel 9a will be $499 in the U.S. for the 128GB model, which is the same as the Pixel 8a. The 256GB version, however, will see a price increase to $649, which is an extra $40 compared to the previous model.

Design and Color Options

The anticipated launch date for the phone is March 26, 2025, with pre-orders set to begin on March 19. Renders released by X user @ACE100xd show that the device will be available in four colors: Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris, and Peony. In Europe, the timeline remains the same, with pre-orders commencing on March 19 and general availability on March 26. The 128GB model will be offered in all four colors, while the 256GB model will only be available in Obsidian and Iris. The prices in Europe are set to be €549 or £499 for the 128GB model and €649 or £599 for the 256GB variant.

Features and Improvements

Among the key upgrades are a larger 5,100mAh battery, Google’s Tensor G4 processor (which is also used in the Pixel 9), and a 48MP main camera sensor aimed at enhancing photography. These enhancements indicate that Google is aiming to position the Pixel 9a as a strong contender in the mid-range market. Moreover, a previous report noted that all versions of the Pixel 9a will include three months of Google One (100 GB) and YouTube Premium, along with a six-month subscription to Fitbit Premium.
