Details about the Oppo Reno 13 series have been capturing attention recently. This series is likely to have two models, the Reno 13 and the Reno 13 Pro, with a potential launch date in China set for November 25.
New Leaks from Weibo
Fresh details regarding the high-end Reno 13 Pro have emerged on the Chinese social media site Weibo, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station. While the tipster hasn’t explicitly named the phone, the leaked specifications strongly imply it is the Reno 13 Pro.
Expected Specifications of Oppo Reno 13 Pro
Digital Chat Station indicates that the device is set to be powered by an unreleased Dimensity 8350 processor from MediaTek. Earlier rumors suggested it would feature a Dimensity 9300, but this new information contradicts that. If this is accurate, it would be a downgrade from the Reno 12 Pro's Chinese variant, which utilized a Dimensity 9200+ processor. Regarding memory, DCS anticipates that the highest configuration will include 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
Instead of placing emphasis on the processor, Oppo appears to be focusing on other features of the phone this time around. The device is expected to have a larger quad-curved display compared to its predecessor, measuring 6.83 inches.
Camera and Design Features
The camera arrangement will probably mirror that of its predecessor. It is expected to come with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto sensor at the back, along with a 50MP selfie camera upfront.
Furthermore, DCS highlights that the previous engineering model of the phone features a metal middle frame and boasts both IP68 and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance, which is an improvement from the Reno 12 Pro's IP65 certification.
In addition, wireless charging capability is anticipated—a feature that was absent in the previous year's model—although the tipster seems unsure whether the specifications mentioned will carry over to the retail version.
