Reports suggest that Oppo is preparing to unveil the Find X8 in October of this year. The phone might be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset. The X8 Ultra, which could feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2025. A new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station provides insights into the camera configuration of the Ultra variant.

Oppo Find X8 Ultra Camera Specifications Leaked

According to the tipster, the Find X8 will have four 50-megapixel cameras on the rear. Similar to the Find X7 Ultra, the X8 Ultra will also feature dual periscope telephoto cameras.

The leak further mentions that the engineering prototype of the Find X8 Ultra aims to deliver optical zoom photography surpassing the capabilities of a 200-megapixel periscope lens. This suggests that the X8 Ultra may provide superior optical zoom performance compared to the Vivo X100 Ultra, which has a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

DCS also noted that the Find X8 Ultra’s camera setup does not include a Sony IMX858 sensor. For those unaware, the Find X7 Ultra comes with two periscope telephoto cameras: a 50-megapixel IMX890 lens offering 3x optical zoom and a 50-megapixel IMX858 lens supporting 6x optical zoom. While the X8 Ultra may lack the IMX858 lens, it might retain the IMX890.

Details about the other features of the Find X8 Ultra are still under wraps. The device is expected to face competition from models like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Honor Magic 7 Ultimate, and Vivo X200 Ultra. There are also rumors about an intermediate model in the Find X8 series, called the Find X8 Pro, but its accuracy is uncertain.
