Digital Chat Station has recently revealed some details about the camera of the upcoming Find X8 Ultra. The next flagship device from Oppo, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, is expected to have a significantly improved camera system compared to the X8 Pro. The same tipster on Weibo has provided additional insights about this smartphone.
Display Features
As per the latest information, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra is set to come with a 6.82-inch display that boasts a 120 Hz refresh rate. It's believed to utilize the same BOE X2 panel that is present on the OnePlus 13. Furthermore, Digital Chat Station claims that the current prototype possesses IP68 and IP69 ratings, making this future camera flagship ideal for outdoor photography adventures.
Camera Specifications
In terms of camera specifications, the well-known leaker has disclosed that the X8 Ultra will house a one-inch primary camera at the back. This will be accompanied by two periscope telephoto cameras, which Digital Chat Station had hinted at in previous reports. However, the latest update suggests that the focal lengths of these cameras haven't "changed much" from before.
The tipster had previously indicated that the smartphone will feature a quad-camera arrangement on the rear, with all four cameras being 50 MP sensors. The two periscope telephoto cameras are rumored to provide 3x and 6x optical zoom capabilities.
Previous Models Comparison
Looking back, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra also included two periscope telephoto cameras, and this previous camera flagship currently ranks fourth on DxOMark's list of smartphones. With the updated camera setup, the X8 Ultra may achieve an even higher ranking.
