Oppo is reportedly getting ready to unveil its premium Find X8 Ultra, which will join the existing range that includes the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. The standard and Pro versions made their debut in October 2024 in China, followed by a release in India in November. The Find X8 Ultra is anticipated to hit the market in China after the Oppo Find N5 is launched. Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some details regarding the display and camera of this upcoming flagship device.
Display and Camera Features
The phone is rumored to feature a 2.5D flat 2K display. It is said to include a physical telephoto macro camera, enhancing its macro photography capabilities, according to the tipster. If his predictions hold true, the camera system may contain the following sensors:
– 50MP Sony IMX906 telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom
– 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with 6x optical zoom
– 50MP Sony LYT-900 main sensor
– 50MP Sony IMX882 ultra-wide
This information was backed up by Oppo’s Find Product Manager Zhou Yibao, who disclosed on Weibo that the Ultra variant will indeed feature a telephoto macro shooter. Additionally, earlier leaks suggested that the smartphone would boast a robust camera setup. The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is expected to be launched in March, though an exact date remains unconfirmed.
Anticipated Specifications
Rumored specifications indicate that the Oppo Find X8 Ultra is likely to have a 6.82-inch display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Furthermore, it might come with an impressive 6,000mAh battery that can support fast charging at 80W or 90W. For added durability, the device should come with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water protection. It is also expected to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which is an upgrade from the optical sensor found in the previous models, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro.
While the Oppo Find X7 Ultra was released only in China, the company seems to have plans for a worldwide launch this time. The Find X8 Ultra is projected to be announced globally toward the end of Q1 2025.
