Oppo has made good on its promise to unveil its upcoming foldable smartphone in the third week of February. To summarize, executive Zhou Yibao announced on February 5 that the company aimed for a “global synchronous release” for the new foldable, kicking off the week of February 17.
Possible Launches
From this announcement, it appears that Oppo and OnePlus are gearing up to launch new versions of the Find N3 and OnePlus Open (currently priced at $1,299.99 on Amazon) at the same time. While this has not been confirmed yet, both the Find N3 and OnePlus Open were released together on October 19, 2023. There’s a good chance that the same will happen with the Find N5 and OnePlus Open 2, especially since Oppo’s launch event is set for 11:00 UTC on February 20.
New Features Revealed
Oppo’s official Weibo account now displays the Find N5 in three different finishes, which align with the render images that Evan Blass posted recently. Additionally, new hands-on images reveal more details about the Hasselblad camera setup on the device. The large cover display is also prominent, resembling not only the OnePlus Open but also the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
