OnePlus has just introduced the OnePlus Ace 5 smartphone lineup in China. Prior to this launch, the company revealed the OnePlus 13 in October 2024 for its domestic audience. A fresh leak from the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that a new small-sized flagship device from OnePlus is on the way. Although the tipster hasn’t confirmed the exact name, there’s a possibility it could be called the OnePlus 13 Mini or OnePlus 13T.
The Rumored OnePlus 13 Mini / OnePlus 13T
Earlier reports hinted at OnePlus working on a compact flagship phone, initially thought to be part of the Ace 5 series. However, the latest information from Digital Chat Station suggests that this intriguing device is actually part of the numbered series. Given its premium features and smaller size, DCS speculates that it might be launched as the OnePlus 13T or the OnePlus 13 Mini, highlighting its compact design.
Leaked Specs of OnePlus 13 Mini / OnePlus 13T
The tipster has mentioned that the OnePlus 13 Mini will have a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with slim bezels all around. The display is expected to feature a 1.5K resolution and include a short-focus in-display fingerprint scanner.
On the back, the camera setup might consist of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 main camera, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom. However, the tipster remains uncertain if the final version will carry these exact camera specifications.
Internal Hardware and Design
Powering the OnePlus 13 Mini will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite, similar to the OnePlus 13. The leak suggests that the phone will feature a metal middle frame along with a glass back. The remaining specifications of the device are still not clear.
Comparisons with Oppo Find X8 Mini
Various reports have also indicated that Oppo is planning to launch the Oppo Find X8 Mini alongside the Find X8 Ultra in March this year in China. In response, the tipster noted that the OnePlus 13 Mini will set itself apart from the X8 Mini in terms of features like photography and the chipset used.
The rumors surrounding the Find X8 Mini suggest it will be equipped with the Dimensity 9400 chipset. A recent leak has also indicated that it will include a 50-megapixel IMX9-series main camera and a 50-megapixel high-quality periscope zoom lens as part of its triple camera arrangement. Additionally, the device is rumored to support wireless charging. Its other specifications include a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a metal middle frame, and a glass back.
