OnePlus is said to be making a strong return to the flagship market with the new 13 model. The smartphone has undergone a redesign that aims to be more upscale and polished than ever, even when compared to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, as per reliable leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS).
Weight and Design Details
The company has managed to reduce the weight of the OnePlus 13 to only 210 grams (g) for its "silk" glass color options, while the vegan leather versions weigh 213g. In contrast, the iPhone 16 Pro Max comes in at a heftier 227g.
OnePlus is moving away from its usual curved design with the 13. However, DCS claims that it will still outshine the iPhone in terms of how it feels in the hand, thanks to gently chamfered edges similar to those found on the OPPO Find X8 Pro. The titanium frame of the 16 Pro Max might still cause some discomfort when held for long periods.
Thickness Comparison
The thickness of the OnePlus 13's glass and vegan leather versions has been reported to be 8.5 millimeters (mm) and 8.8mm, respectively, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max is slightly thinner at 8.3mm.
This leads to the possibility that if the OnePlus 13 is any longer or wider than its Apple counterpart, it could be a touch less compact. Nevertheless, the faster wireless charging capabilities might offset this slight disadvantage.
