Ola Electric CEO Teases New Electric Motorcycle Release

Ola Electric is preparing to launch a new electric motorcycle. The company's CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, has shared a teaser image of this upcoming e-motorbike. This will mark the brand's first venture into electric motorcycles, expanding their already impressive lineup of e-scooters. The teaser image showcases various components including the battery pack, electric motor, front sprocket, and final drive chain. Speculations suggest that the official announcement for this new electric motorcycle might be made on August 15.

Previous Concepts and Design

Just a year ago, Ola Electric unveiled four concept electric motorcycle models featuring cutting-edge designs. The recent social media post by Ola’s CEO is thought to be a pre-production model of one of these showcased bikes. According to the teaser, the e-motorcycle features a steel tubular frame that encases a compact battery pack. The electric motor is positioned below the battery pack, with the drive chain connected to a practical front sprocket. Additionally, the image hints at several control modules thoughtfully placed on the motorcycle.

Design Features

The teaser also reveals part of the seat, indicating forward-set footpegs, affirming it as an e-motorcycle. The seat height appears to be nearly level with the battery pack, suggesting an accessible saddle height for riders. The full name and specifications of this teased Ola electric motorcycle remain undisclosed. It seems unlikely that this model will enter production this year. However, the August 15 announcement could shed more light on Ola Electric’s upcoming offerings and provide a closer look at the e-motorcycle.
