Next-Gen AirPods Pro to Enhance Active Noise Cancellation

Apple might soon unveil the AirPods Pro 3, as suggested by tipster Kosutami on X. The AirPods Pro 2 made its debut in late 2022. Earlier, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman had predicted that the AirPods Pro 3 might see a release in 2025.

Enhanced Noise Cancellation

The tipster notes that the AirPods Pro 3 is expected to feature a significantly improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system compared to the AirPods Pro 2. However, further specifics were not provided. The AirPods Pro 2 is advertised to have up to twice the active noise cancellation capabilities of the original AirPods Pro. It remains to be seen how the AirPods Pro 3 will improve upon this feature.

Additionally, the AirPods Pro 3 is rumored to include new health-tracking functionalities.

Upcoming AirPods 4

Mark Gurman had also speculated that Apple might incorporate the noise cancellation feature in the AirPods 4, potentially releasing in late 2024 or early 2025. Recent reports suggest that the AirPods 4 could be launched as early as September this year, alongside the iPhone 16 series.

Notably, the AirPods 4 might be available in two distinct versions. Both are rumored to feature a redesigned look to enhance fit and sound quality. The charging case might also receive an update with a Type-C port. One of the versions is expected to have a speaker in the charging case to emit a sound for Find My Location tracking.

Advanced Features

Regarding core specifications, the AirPods 4 is anticipated to be equipped with Apple’s internally developed H2 audio analysis chip, which is believed to possess greater computing power. This enhancement could be attributed to the integration of noise cancellation and may also slightly improve sound quality.
