New AMD Krackan Point & Intel Arrow Lake-H Laptops Listed

Both AMD and Intel are set to reveal new mobile processors at CES 2025. Team Blue is expected to showcase the Arrow Lake-H/X series, while Team Red will likely introduce its Strix Halo lineup. Retailers and suppliers are already listing laptops featuring these new chips, with some models surfacing online.

Asus Laptop with AMD’s New APU

To start, there’s a 16-inch Asus laptop that seems to be powered by AMD’s forthcoming 8-core Krackan Point APU, probably called the Ryzen AI 350. Recently, we discussed a Geekbench 6 leak involving an Acer laptop housing what looks like the same APU. The performance scores are quite impressive, even though it’s likely an engineering sample, as it competes well against the Ryzen 7 8845HS and significantly outperforms the Core Ultra 7 258V ‘Lunar Lake’ processor.

Intel’s Core Ultra Processors

Moving on, laptops featuring Intel’s new Core Ultra 200H and Core 200H chips are also on the horizon. At the top tier, there’s a 14-inch Asus Zenbook equipped with the Core Ultra 285H chip, which aims to take the place of the Core Ultra 9 185H. Additionally, Eyo has listed a 16-inch Asus Vivobook that packs the Core Ultra 5 225H chip, alongside a non-Ultra variant of the Core 7 240H that will rely on Rocket Lake and come with much slower integrated graphics. Fortunately for us, CES 2025 is just around the corner, meaning we won’t have to wait long to see what these chip giants have in store for us.
