Motorola is set to introduce the Motorola Razr 50 flip phone to the Indian market today. However, the Razr 50 isn't the only device Motorola plans to launch in India this month. The company has also announced that the Edge 50 Neo will be unveiled at noon (local time) on September 16 in India. Ahead of its official debut, the Edge 50 Neo’s microsite on Flipkart has already disclosed most of the phone's details.

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo is designed with an IP68-rated chassis, ensuring MIL-810H military-grade toughness. It features a 6.4-inch P-OLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2670 x 1220 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, and an outstanding peak brightness of 3000 nits. Under the hood, it is equipped with the Dimensity 7300 processor and backed by a 4,310mAh battery, which supports 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The phone is expected to come with 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
The camera configuration of the Edge 50 Neo includes a 50-megapixel LYT-700C primary camera with OIS, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens that can also function as a macro camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, it boasts a 32-megapixel front camera. Notably, the phone will receive five Android OS upgrades and security updates for five years. It will be pre-installed with Hello UI-based Android 14.
The Edge 50 Neo incorporates an in-screen fingerprint sensor, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, and a plastic frame with an option for either a plastic or vegan leather rear finish. Other features include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB-C port. The dimensions are 154.1 x 71.2 x 8.1mm, and it weighs 179 grams.

In September 2023, Motorola launched the Edge 40 Neo in India, priced at Rs 20,999. It is anticipated that the Edge 50 Neo will be priced similarly. Motorola has confirmed a one-hour flash sale on Flipkart at noon for those eager to purchase the device immediately after its announcement. The phone will be available in four Pantone-curated colors: Nautical Blue, Latte, Grisaille, and Poinciana.
