Moto S50 Specs Leaked Ahead of Official Launch Tease

Motorola introduced the Moto S50 Neo with the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 in China in June, essentially a rebranded version of the Moto G85 5G for markets outside of China. Recently, a Motorola device with the model number XT2409-5 received approval from China’s TENAA authority. It is speculated that this device might launch in the domestic market as the Motorola S50. A new leak from tipster Experience More has disclosed the main specifications of the phone.

Expected Features of Moto S50

The Moto S50 is anticipated to launch soon in China. According to the tipster, it might feature a 6.36-inch flat display with a 1.5K resolution (1200p) and a 120Hz refresh rate. For security purposes, it may include an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The Moto S50 is likely to be powered by the Dimensity 7300 chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It might also contain a 4,400mAh battery with 68W fast charging support.

Camera and Design

The rear camera setup may consist of a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. On the front, a 32-megapixel camera is expected for selfies.

Additional features might include an in-display fingerprint sensor and IP68 water and dust resistance. Design-wise, it is expected to measure 154.1 x 71.2 x 8.1 mm and weigh 172 grams. It seems the Moto S50 could be rebranded as the Motorola Edge 50 Neo in international markets.
