Motorola has unveiled a new addition to its smartphone lineup in China alongside the Razr 50 series foldables. The new device is named the Moto S50 Neo, and it boasts several impressive features including a curved screen, a durable battery, and extended software support. Moto S50 Neo Series Specifications and Features

The Moto S50 Neo is equipped with a 6.7-inch pOLED curved 10-bit display. This screen features an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate for fluid visuals, and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits for enhanced outdoor visibility. Additionally, a fingerprint scanner is integrated into the screen. In terms of design, the device has a sleek profile and a prominent rear camera module. It also boasts an IP54 rating for water resistance.

Camera and Internal Specifications

The dual camera system on the Moto S50 Neo includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS support, complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens that also serves as a macro and depth sensor. For selfies, the phone is equipped with a 32MP front-facing camera.

Under the hood, the Moto S50 Neo is driven by a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor. It offers up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 30W charging. It runs on Android 14 OS out of the box and is the first smartphone globally to qualify for four years of OS updates.

Pricing and Availability

The Moto S50 Neo is priced at CNY 1,399 ($192) for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at CNY 1,599 ($220), while the 12GB + 512GB version costs CNY 1,899 (~$261). The phone comes in three color options: Gray, Olivine, and Surf, developed in collaboration with Pantone. It will be available for purchase in China starting from June 28.
