Key Takeaways
1. Motorola has launched Moto Buds Bass, competing with OnePlus Nord Buds 3r in India.
2. The Moto Buds Bass feature thumping bass and dynamic active noise cancellation, which the OnePlus earbuds lack.
3. Moto Buds Bass utilize Bluetooth 5.3 technology but have lower estimated battery life compared to competitors.
4. The Moto Buds Bass come in three colors: Posy Green, Dark Shadow, and Blue Jewel.
5. Motorola is also releasing Moto Buds Loop, open earphones, priced at INR 7,999, available from September 1, 2025.
Just when OnePlus believed it was clear to launch its Nord Buds 3r in India, Motorola has entered the scene with its own new wireless earbuds aimed at the same market.
Thumping Bass and Active Noise Cancellation
These new Moto Buds Bass promise to deliver “thumping bass” thanks to a custom EQ that enhances the dynamic drivers, which measure 12.4mm—just like the Buds 3r. They also feature “dynamic” active noise cancellation that can block out unwanted noise by up to 50 decibels (dB), a capability that the OnePlus earbuds do not offer.
Connectivity and Battery Life
However, the Moto Buds Bass use the older Bluetooth 5.3 technology and have a slightly lower estimated total battery life compared to their rivals.
The Buds Bass come in three colors instead of two: Posy Green, Dark Shadow, and Blue Jewel, all created through Motorola’s ongoing collaboration with Pantone.
New Open Earphones Launch
In addition, Motorola is also launching the Moto Buds Loop in India. These Bose-tuned open earphones will be available in Pantone French Oak, Ice Melt (which features Swarovski crystals), and Trekking Green color options (which does not have the crystals).
They are set to retail starting at INR 7,999 (about $91, compared to $149.99 on Amazon in the US) from September 1, 2025. Meanwhile, the Moto Buds Bass will be priced at INR 1,999 (around $23) and will launch on September 8, 2025, alongside the Nord Buds 3r.
