Lenovo Unveils AI-Powered Yoga Air 14c Flip Notebook with 360 Hinge

Lenovo has introduced a new addition to its YOGA lineup in China – the YOGA Air 14c AI Yuanqi. This 14-inch convertible notebook features the latest Intel Core Ultra processor and comes with an integrated NPU for AI tasks. Here’s a look at its main specifications.

The YOGA Air 14c sports a 2.8K 120Hz OLED touchscreen display with a brightness of 400 nits, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, Dolby Vision, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. It also supports the Lenovo Yoga Inspiration Pen, which offers 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and allows for note-taking even when the screen is off.

The device incorporates a new-generation Tian Gong hinge system, featuring a 360-degree hinge that facilitates seamless transitions between laptop and tablet modes. Additionally, it is equipped with a super-aggregate antenna that provides a robust 350-meter ultra-long-distance connection.

Under the hood, the YOGA Air 14c Flip is powered by the latest Core Ultra 7 155H processor, delivering a 33% increase in multi-core performance over the previous generation. The CPU is paired with an NPU designed to accelerate AI applications. This laptop includes 32GB of LPDDR5x-7467 memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 solid-state drive, ensuring smooth multitasking and substantial storage for demanding tasks.

AI and Battery Life

Lenovo has pre-installed its Xiaotian AI assistant on the Yoga Air 14c. Powered by the Tianxi large language model, Xiaotian can perform various tasks via natural language interaction, such as summarizing local documents, answering personal knowledge-based questions, and learning user habits to provide a more personalized experience.

Despite its sleek form factor, the Yoga Air 14c houses a 71Wh battery. Lenovo claims it can deliver up to 19.1 hours of local video playback and 8.1 hours of simulated market usage. The laptop also supports fast charging with the provided 65W Type-C adapter.

Weighing just 3.1 lbs (1.4kg) and measuring 0.59 inches (14.9mm) thick, the Yoga Air 14c is highly portable. It features a comfortable 1.5mm keyboard and a large 5.6-inch anti-accidental touch touchpad for easier navigation.

Connectivity and Pricing

For connectivity, the Yoga Air 14c offers a range of ports, including two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Yoga Air 14c comes with Windows 11 Home pre-installed. To enhance security and user experience, Lenovo offers a one-year accidental protection plan with a free spare machine and a dedicated customer service representative for Yoga Black Gold members at 399 yuan/year.

Pricing and Availability

The Lenovo Yoga Air 14c flip notebook featuring the Core i7 Ultra 7 155H processor, 32GB of LPDDR5x-7467 memory, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD is priced at 8999 yuan (approximately $1,239). Pre-sales began today in China, with official sales starting on July 13th.
