Lenovo has introduced the ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 mobile workstation, a refreshed version of its predecessor. This new model includes a Ryzen PRO series processor and an upgraded GPU.
Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Specs
The ThinkPad P14s now comes with two display choices: a 14-inch FHD+ IPS screen with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, anti-glare, and low blue light features, and a 14-inch 2.8K OLED screen with enhanced color precision, covering the full DCI-P3 color spectrum. Both displays are TÜV-certified to ensure eye safety and are designed to minimize eye strain during extensive use.
Under the hood, the laptop is equipped with AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 Series processors, which offer up to 8 cores and can reach speeds of 5.1GHz. For graphics, it includes the AMD Radeon 780M integrated GPU, based on the latest RDNA 3 architecture.
Memory and Storage Options
The ThinkPad P14s can be customized with up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM and provides storage options up to a 2TB NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD. Connectivity options include USB-C Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and an SD card reader.
Security Features
For security, the workstation integrates Lenovo’s ThinkShield features, such as dTPM 2.0, a touch fingerprint reader, and a webcam privacy shutter. It supports multiple operating systems, including Windows 11 Pro and several Linux distributions like Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
