North America-based e-bike creator Lectric has released its latest XP4 e-bike in the US market. This new model features important improvements compared to the previous generation, focusing on structure, performance, and safety enhancements. Lectric has launched two versions of the XP4 e-bike: the standard 500 W edition and the more advanced 750 W variant.

Performance Details

When it comes to maximum speed, the Lectric XP4 750 W version boasts a peak output of 1310 W and can reach up to 85 Nm of torque. This allows it to achieve a maximum speed of 28 mph (45 kph) and includes five riding modes: Eco, Tour, Sport, Sport+, and Turbo. The base model, on the other hand, has a 500 W rear hub motor with a peak output of 1092 W and up to 55 Nm torque, offering the same top speed and riding modes as its more powerful counterpart.

Battery and Frame Specifications

The 750 W motor variant is powered by an 840 Wh removable lithium-ion battery, which is designed to deliver a range of up to 85 miles (136.7 km) with a single charge. The base model comes with a slightly smaller 499 Wh battery, enabling a ride of up to 55 miles (80.4 km). Interestingly, both versions come with a robust UL2849-certified 6000 series aluminum frame, weighing approximately 61 lbs (27.6 kg) and supporting a maximum payload of 330 lbs (149.6 kg). Furthermore, the e-bike features a foldable design for easy storage in tight spaces, and you can also remove the pedals and seat post for simpler transport.

Design Features

In terms of size, both models share the same dimensions, measuring 66 x 18.5 x 47 inches (1676.4 x 469.9 x 1193.8 mm). A significant upgrade is the inclusion of Shimano’s 8-speed Altus drivetrain, a step up from the previous 7-speed. Lectric includes 20” x 3” puncture-resistant tires equipped with new 602 hydraulic brakes that are paired with 180 mm rotors. Additionally, the XP4 e-bike features a detachable color TFT display that shows important data like battery level, trip distance, speed, active mode, and more. However, it’s worth noting that the e-bike does not come with Apple Find My integration.

The Lectric XP4 750 W and 500 W motor versions are offered in grey, pine green, white, and blue color options, priced at $1,299 and $999, respectively. Both models are currently available for preorder on Lectric’s official website, with shipping set to start on May 26th.
