OnePlus Ace 3, also known as OnePlus 12R in the global market, is scheduled to launch in China on January 4th and globally on January 23rd. The Chinese market has already been teased with the phone's design and a new Sand Gold color option, although it is uncertain if this color will be available globally.
OnePlus 12R color options
While the global OnePlus team has remained silent, a recent leak by tipster Ishan Agarwal has revealed possible color options for the international OnePlus 12R. The leaked promotional materials showcase the OnePlus 12R in Blue and classic Black shades.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 12R is expected to be nearly identical to its Chinese counterpart, and its specifications are likely to be similar as well.
The OnePlus 12R is rumored to feature a 6.78-inch curved OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. It is expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate, utilizing LTPO 4.0 technology, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
Under the hood, the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. It will come with options of 8 GB or 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB UFS 3.1 or UFS 4.0 storage.
In terms of the camera setup, the OnePlus 12R is said to sport a triple camera system on the back, led by a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. It will be accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, there will be a 16MP camera housed in a punch-hole cutout on the front.
The device is expected to be equipped with a 5,500mAh battery and support 100W charging.
