Realme is set to make a big announcement in India tomorrow, and fans are eagerly awaiting the launch date of the Realme 12 Pro series smartphones. The Pro and Pro+ variants in the lineup have already received BIS certification, and now a leak from tipster Ishan Agarwal has shed more light on the Realme 12 Pro series.
Realme 12 Pro+ Key Details Leaked
According to the leak, the Realme 12 Pro+ will be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. Interestingly, this same chipset is also expected to be featured in the upcoming Redmi Note 13 Pro, which is set to launch in India on January 4. The Realme 12 series is said to sport a circular camera module housing three sensors. The Pro+ variant will come with a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom. On the other hand, the Pro variant will feature a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto unit and will be equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.
Launch Date and Successor to Realme 11 Pro Series
The Realme 12 Pro series is rumored to launch in India either by the end of this month or in February. This series will serve as the successor to last year’s Realme 11 Pro series. It’s worth noting that the Realme 12 Pro series has yet to be launched in China. In November of last year, Realme confirmed that one of its upcoming number series devices would feature a periscope zoom lens. Additionally, Realme India recently teased the possibility of a periscope camera and flagship smartphone. China already saw the release of the Realme GT 5 Pro, which boasts flagship specifications.
