Reliance Jio has unveiled its new budget-friendly 4G feature phone, the JioPhone Prima 2. This device follows the JioPhone Prima 4G, which was launched in 2023. The Prima 2 offers several improvements, including a refreshed curved design and a larger battery, all while keeping its cost affordable.
The Prima 2 is designed for users who desire 4G connectivity and basic smartphone features in a compact and user-friendly form.
JioPhone Prima 2 Specifications
The JioPhone Prima 2 is equipped with a 2.4-inch QVGA curved display, featuring a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, providing a simple yet effective screen for everyday tasks. The device is powered by an unspecified Qualcomm SoC, complemented by 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, ensuring it can handle basic tasks smoothly. Users have the option to expand the storage up to 128GB using a microSD card, providing additional space for apps and media.
Running on KaiOS 2.5.3, the phone offers access to various apps, including YouTube, Facebook, and Google Assistant, as well as Jio’s suite of apps like JioTV, JioCinema, and JioSaavn for entertainment purposes.
For connectivity, the Prima 2 supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB 2.0 port. It also includes an FM Radio and a 3.5mm audio jack compatible with wired headphones. The dimensions of the Prima 2 are 123.4 x 55.5 x 15.1mm, and it weighs 120g. In terms of photography, the device features a rear camera and a 0.3MP (VGA) front camera, which is capable of direct video calling without the need for third-party apps. Additionally, the phone is equipped with an LED torch.

The JioPhone Prima 2 is priced at Rs. 2,799 and is available in a Luxe Blue color option. It can currently be purchased through Amazon and is expected to be available on JioMart, Reliance Digital, and other major retailers soon.
Reliance Jio also provides exclusive recharge plans for JioPhone users, beginning at Rs. 91 for 28 days, which includes 100MB of data per day with unlimited calling. For users requiring more data, there are options like the Rs. 152 and Rs. 895 annual plans, offering increased data and extended validity.
