iQOO is reportedly preparing to launch the iQOO 13 flagship phone in the Chinese market. Contrary to previous releases, there will be no Pro variant accompanying the iQOO 13 this time. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station recently shared some insights on Weibo regarding the design and key specifications of the upcoming iQOO 13.
iQOO 13 Key Details Unveiled
The latest leak suggests that BOE will supply a flat OLED display with 2K resolution for the iQOO 13. The phrase “the design of the screen shape mold has been updated across the board,” as translated by machines, likely indicates that the screen mold's design and shape have been thoroughly revamped. It remains to be seen if the screen size will change, as the predecessor featured a 6.78-inch flat OLED display.
Under the hood, the iQOO 13 is expected to house the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor and a battery capacity starting with the number 6, suggesting it may feature a 6,000mAh or larger battery. However, the device will not support wireless charging. A previous Weibo post from the same source mentioned that the device would support 100W rapid charging.
Camera and Additional Features
The camera design on the iQOO 13 will be largely similar to that of the iQOO 12, featuring a 50-megapixel triple camera setup that may include a 3x periscope telephoto camera. Other reports indicate that the iQOO 13 will come with a metal middle frame and a glass back, along with IP68 or IP69-rated dust and water resistance.
In summary, the iQOO 13 promises to be a notable upgrade over the iQOO 12. The device is expected to be officially announced in China in November this year.
