iPad Air 6th Gen Unveiled
Apple is introducing a larger 13-inch model alongside the standard 11-inch variant with the iPad Air 6th Gen. Both models feature a Liquid Retina IPS LCD display, with the 13-inch version sporting a resolution of 2732×2048 pixels and a peak brightness of 600 nits.
The iPad Air 6th Gen maintains the overall design of its predecessor, featuring a flat frame, a Touch ID button at the top, and volume rocker keys on the right side. One noticeable alteration is the relocation of the front camera sensor to the right side when the tablet is held in landscape mode. The Apple Pencil stylus remains magnetically attachable on the right side of the tablet. Additionally, the latest iPad Air will support the newly announced Pencil Pro, along with the Pencil Hover feature previously exclusive to the Pro models.
The camera setup of the iPad Air 6th Gen remains unchanged from its predecessor, featuring a 12MP rear camera and a 12MP front-facing selfie camera. The rear camera supports Smart HDR and 4K video recording capabilities.
Performance and Connectivity
Powering the iPad Air 6th Gen is Apple’s M2 processor, which is claimed to be 50 percent faster than the M1 chip in the previous Air model. Both variants now come with a base storage configuration of 128GB, an increase from the previous generation. The tablet supports WiFi-6E and 5G connectivity for enhanced performance and connectivity options.

The iPad Air 6th Gen is priced starting at $599 (Rs 59,990) for the 11-inch base model, while the 13-inch variant starts at $799 (Rs 79,990). It is available in four color options: Blue, Purple, Starlight, and Space Grey. Pre-orders for the tablet kick off today, with sales set to begin on April 15th.
