Infinix is set to unveil the Infinix Hot 50 5G in India on September 6. The announcement comes via an official microsite, which not only confirms the launch date but also reveals the design and some key specifications of the phone. Here’s a summary of what’s known so far about the device.
Design Overview
The Hot 50 5G marks a departure from the iPhone-like camera module seen in the previous Hot 40 series. This new model features a vertically aligned camera island. On the front, it sports a punch-hole display equipped with wet-touch capabilities, allowing users to operate it with damp fingers.
The phone's top edge seems to be free of any buttons or ports, while the left side contains a SIM slot. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor is also visible. Details about the bottom edge of the phone are still under wraps. The device carries an IP54 rating and will be available in black, blue, and green.
Key Specifications
Infinix has confirmed that the Hot 50 5G will be powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset, suggesting it will be affordably priced, potentially around Rs 12,000.
The phone will offer two RAM options: 4 GB and 8 GB, both paired with 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. While the battery capacity remains unknown, the device is confirmed to have a slim build with a thickness of 7.8mm. Other specifications have yet to be disclosed.
