Despite many reports indicating that some companies could drop their foldable smartphone plans, Huawei is still committed to the foldable market. The company has just launched the Mate X6, the newest version in its series of folding phones.
Enhanced Features
The X6 keeps the essential folding design but comes with significant upgrades, including bigger displays, a unique rear camera layout, and AI enhancements aimed at improving user interaction. These changes make the device not only visually appealing but also more functional for daily tasks.
Larger and Brighter Screens
One of the most noticeable updates is the increase in size for both the internal and external screens. When unfolded, the X6 showcases a 7.93-inch LTPO 2.0 display that features a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 1800 nits. This should provide a more engaging experience for watching videos, gaming, or completing work tasks.
The outer display has also grown, now measuring 6.45 inches while maintaining the same 120Hz refresh rate and LTPO 2.0 technology. Both screens offer impressive brightness, with the outer display hitting 2500 nits and the inner display peaking at 1800 nits, making outdoor visibility much better. Moreover, the 1440Hz PWM dimming on both screens is designed to lessen eye fatigue, particularly during long periods of use in dim lighting.
